"A photographer always knows when they've taken that photo that will never be forgotten.  When we edit our film and see that image for the first time, we always know.  We know we've captured something that will leave a mark and be etched in our memories for a long time.  Our career allows us to be up front and behind the scenes of  significant events.  We can only hope that the images we create will become a tool that will help us never to forget the good and the bad events in the history of our community.  When something powerful happens in our back yard, and we get a front row seat and a back stage pass to feel the community's spirit, we really can feel we are a part of it and our real purpose is to document this powerful thing for history.
